The influence of rainfall and temperature on radial growth of urban trees under the impact of steel industry pollution

The aim of this study was to analyze the growth rings and evaluate effect urban environment on Terminalia catappa L. under intense industrial activity. At least two wood samples were obtained from each tree with an increment borer. regions Volta Redonda (Northwest Southeast regions) Resende (used as control) established for collection. dendrochronological potential T. indicated sensitivity precipitation temperature in a more exposed steel pollution area because there differences when compared less same pollution. Thus, it possible conclude that species has be used bioindicator anthropogenic activities.
